HUGE SALE...fun, fun, fun!

Sara's Perspective....

Here's a little peek behind the curtain...or sliding barn door....into our office/studio space. Few have lived to tell the tale of their time spent up the short flight of stairs into Anomaly Design Studio. :) Just kidding, folks! I must say I HEART coming to work and having my own little space to decorate & live in for 40+++ hours per week. It's my home away from home, I guess. As cheesy as that is!

I've made some adjustments as of late....like adding a vintage faux bois lazy susan under my computer so it swivels!....this comes in mucho handy for all those "ah ha!" moments I have to instantly show Dan. I also added a little green to my space....I heart having plants around. Especially easy to care for plant friends. This one at my work space seemed to be an easy buddy to keep me company but alas...the little bugger's growing out of control from all which ways. Grrrr. I just keep tucking it's little sprouty cowlicks back into place hoping they'll stay.

Yup....that's 1-2....3 Hello Kitties you see on my computer. She makes me smile no matter how cliche she has become. And I couldn't get my Zen on without my lil' Buddha....and he's hot pink!

Anyhoo....there's a little looksie for ya. Now it's off to do some "real" work......really???....bloggin doesn't count?? Hmmmph! :)

Holy moly....many, many moons have passed since we updated this poor, neglected blog. Sorry for the lack of posts! I knew I had to do something fast when my grandma told me we never write on the blog anymore....my 81 year young grandma! I love you, Gram! Here's your update! Mwah!

Take a looksie at these beauties......

Above was last week's floral orders. Yup, you heard right....Anomaly also attacks the floral world. We're nutzo, we know.....but hey....if you're going to do it, do it with gusto, right? These were some of my faves. So fun & flirty & finally showing some bright springtime colors. Where oh' where is our sunny, warm days, Ms. Mother Earth? Soon, pretty please with a daffodil on top?? For the time being we're having fun with flowers...and used some extras around the shop to bring some of that springtime feel indoors. Hello, daffodils & calla lillies! (and an extra super duper thanks so Steve for his lovely donation to our floral fetish....we heart ya!)

So....the moral of the story is....if you are in need of some snazzy flowers to knock someone's socks (and perhaps something else, if that's what you're going for) off....give your ol' friends at Anomaly a call. We do big & small (we're an equal opportunity floral shop!) so if it's a ginormous wedding or just an arrangement to let that special someone know you care (or exist), we're your answer. Just another anomaly about Anomaly!

Holy moly! It's been foreva since we posted. How lazy are we? Not lazy at all! We've been super duper busy landing new fabulous design deals and trying our darndest to update the shop's inventory. We've hired employees, lost employees, and now are hiring yet again. Hoping the third time's the charm! Wednesday.....spooktacular Halloween......is our interview day. Can you believe we received over 30 resumes??? Thank's craigslist! Sheesh! Wednesday we have set up 10 interviews. Shhh...Dan has yet to know and will KILL me when he finds out! But cross your fingers we'll find a keeper!

And, most importantly....we have a birthday this week! Dan's day O' birth is on Thursday, November 1st. I searched high and low today scowering (how does one spell that??) antiquey stores for the perfect ingredients for my gift for him. And after pricked fingers later, I'm done. I hope he loves it! (aren't you intrigued?? :) And best thing about Dan's birthday....mine is exactly one week after! :) Just kidding......I'm jealous the kid's got a week up on me! I'm sloppy seconds. Ha!

So, if you're by the shopola this week, make sure to give Dan his birthday spankings! I'll post a pic of my gifts to him after he gets them. I may just start a new trend!

Nacho Central

We created an island of nachos surrounded by little "boats" of nacho accessories. My favorite was sour cream with a jalapeño on top. Sara very much enjoyed the same but added refried beans, two black olives and a dollop of salsa.

Superfluous Potato Chips

We didn't get around to eating these yet. They don't look too exciting. Perhaps when we run out of nachos...

Baked beans

Note the hunk of pork floating in this pool of bean delight. Hold my feet, I'm going in.

Giant Pizza Slice

I know this look greasy, but it was loaded with vitamins and other healthy nutrients to help restore our natural vim and vigor.

Mini Chicken Tacos

...or the lazy man's empanada. Either way, they are quite tasty and wouldn't mind seeing them in frisbee-size.

My hot dog

My hot dog came with mustard already on it. But not ketchup (I was half tempted to spell it "catsup" just to annoy Sara). It was served on a hoagie roll. How dumb is that?
